It is confirmed that HiPSTER THiN will be competing in the Battle of the Bands competition to be held at Fibbers in York. The band will be appearing in Heat 8 on Wednesday 11th April 2001. Please come along to offer your support for one of Yorks most exciting new bands.

There is a buzz of excitement surrounding the six individuals that have emerged from every corner of England and settled in York to form an exciting new band. Audiences at their first performances since forming in the summer have been absorbed in the innovative songs written by the band.

Jonathan's energetic, hard hitting vocals contrast Caroline's lazy, husky, jazz influenced tones. Andy's guitar creates riffs that will continue to reappear in your consciousness time after time to hold hands with Kev's atmospheric keyboards - creating a truly distinctive sound.

Corbett's bass lines add more to the songs than something for the rest of them to improvise on. His truely original style adds a really special ingredient. Sam manages to keep all that in time with his energetic drumming.

Look out for them across the north of England to experience a new approach to pop rock.
